What will I be doing?

As a Wedding Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving wedding sales by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, coordinating with internal departments, and delivering exceptional service to ensure memorable wedding experiences while achieving departmental revenue goals.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize wedding revenue and achieve departmental targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads through networking, referrals, and business partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing wedding clients.
  • Conduct venue tours and wedding consultations, presenting the hotel's facilities, wedding packages, and services.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts, and other sales documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Negotiate wedding packages and contractual terms while maximizing hotel profitability.
  • Coordinate closely with the Events, Banquet, Culinary, Front Office, and other operational departments to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and business opportunities using the hotel's sales systems.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in wedding fairs, promotional events, and marketing activities to enhance brand awareness.
  • Provide timely sales reports, forecasts, and business updates to the Director of Sales and senior management.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey to encourage repeat business and referrals.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Proven sales and business development skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM or sales management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and consistently achieve sales targets.
  • Fluency in Japanese is required; business-level English is preferred.
    It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • Previous experience in Wedding Sales, Event Sales, or Hospitality Sales.
  • Experience working in a luxury hotel or wedding venue.
  • Knowledge of the Japanese wedding market and current industry trends.
  • Established relationships with wedding agencies, planners, or related business partners.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
